Outlining The College Applications Process
February 10, 2022
It’s the time of the year when students are applying for colleges! The time is here where Seniors should be finding out what they want to in their future and applying for any colleges they would like to go to. Applying for colleges could be both stressful and a long process because some seniors are not sure or do not know what they want to do in the future and this is the time seniors should have an idea how they want there further to be like. There are many steps to get started on applying, not to worry, Ridgeview High School has great teachers, counselors and staff that could help with any problems or concerns for applying or figuring out what you want to do in the future.
One of Ridgeview Senior, Jaiden Wattson, states that, “I was a little confused where I wanted to go for college and what I wanted to do for my further, but when I talked to my counselor, I got a clear view point that I would like to go to college when I graduate.” Basically, seniors could take the time to go and talk and ask for help from your teachers for applying for colleges if it is something you are struggling with. Some don’t know what they want until the last minute, but you could talk to teachers, counselors, and staff if seniors could be prepared and stress free for all seniors to apply for colleges they want to go to. Seniors worry and stress over applying for colleges when it comes to that point and 1 in 5 seniors suffer from anxiety when applying for colleges. Some seniors know what colleges they want to go to and what they want to do in the future.
Another Ridgeview student, Brandon Castellanos, states that, “ I always knew what I wanted to do so it was stressful for me and when it came to applying for the colleges I wanted to go to and things I want to become in the future it was not that difficult for me.” Seniors should have a bit of an idea of what they want to do for the future by the time they are about to graduate or senior year. Every student should take advantage of every opportunity the school gives to help us. Not knowing or knowing what to do after high school should not be stressful and overwhelming.
