As we all know, social media can play a big part in influencing new trends. From what clothes to wear, where to buy them and the hottest new restaurants to eat at. Mukbangs have been a trending form of content for a while now, where people sit and eat popular food items and review them for their viewers. Recently this form of content has taken over a big part of tiktok. Influencing many people to go out and try new menu items while also shining a good light on restaurants and bringing them in many more customers.
I was influenced to try the trending Triple Dipper at Chilies. If you are on TikTok at all during your daily life I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. So with all the talk about this amazing new appetizer I had to try it. The appetizer has six options to choose from which includes boneless or bone-in wings, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, southwest egg rolls, big mouth burger bites, and chicken crispers, with four sauce options. When ordering the triple dipper you can choose three of the six appetizers, the most popular three being the mozzarella sticks, big mouth bites, and the honey chipotle chicken crispers. So that is what I decided to order.
While waiting for the food, the customer service was good and the waiters were friendly and attentive making sure we had refills before our drinks were empty and constantly checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The setting of the restaurant was also clean and looked well-kept. Once the food arrived in a timely manner we dug in. First trying the mozzarella sticks, they were pretty big compared to your normal mozzarella sticks and like advertised online the cheese pull was extra cheesy. Next, I moved onto the big mouth burger bites which were mini sliders that contained a patty, cheese, bacon, onions, and house made ranch. These were the perfect size and tasted great. Between the house made ranch and the bacon bites the burger wasn’t lacking anything. Lastly, I moved onto the chicken crispers, which were covered in their honey chipotle sauce and very crispy. This was my least favorite appetizer. I don’t think it has anything to do with the food itself , I just was not a huge fan of the honey-chipotle sauce. That is a personal preference so I wouldn’t count it against the restaurant. The quality of the chicken was good and I’m sure I would like them if they were covered in a different sauce.
A few friends joined me for this food review and had positive words for the appetizer as well. Xavier Chaplin shares, “ the food was really good and filling, it’s shareable and could be great for a whole meal. Chaplin also describes the service as efficient and helpful. He states, “ I would definitely get the Triple Dipper again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to try something new the next time they stop at chiles.”
My overall review of the trending Triple Dipper from Chilies is that I would definitely get this again. I would next try something in replace of the chicken crispers like the southwest egg rolls, they were also highly talked about. If you are looking to try something new for a very reasonable price under 20 dollars I would highly recommend heading to your local Chiles and treating your taste buds to a delicious and filling meal.
