Great changes for the 2025-2026 school year, PACKknowledgements turned PACK points! In past year’s, Ridgeview used to have written and electronic PACKknowledgements. This year, they’ve fully transitioned to the digital system.
PACKnowledgement points are distributed by teachers when you get caught practicing any letter of P.A.C.K. Practice respect, Act responsibly, Consider others, and Keep our school safe. The points can only be earned, not lost. PACKnowledgement points can be used to purchase a variety of items from the swag store. The item’s prices range from one point to thirty points. To access your points you log into student view and scroll down to MTSS, the program will show your total points and who gave you the points. If one continues to scroll, they’ll find the student store and purchase their desired item. Items can be ordered at any time of the day, any day.
Jason Jenkins, head of the Student Advocacy Center explains the delivery details, “The items are delivered by student advocates from the Student Advocacy Center. We’re not Amazon Prime, so I don’t know that same day delivery is likely, but probably within five-ish days, they should get their delivery in one of their classes. And we won’t deliver to PE.” According to Jenkins, as of right now, points earned this year won’t transfer over to next year. The MTSS feature has been available in our district for at least five years, yet Ridgeview has barely turned on the feature for our school this school year in hopes of rewarding more students. Jenkins says, “We wanted to expand how many students were winning swag, and we thought, ‘Well, what better way to do that than to be giving students points and let them buy their own swag?’ So now we’re not waiting on a drawing. It’s not random. You earned your points, you get to spend your points, as you see fit.” Jenkins seems to be proud of the system’s structure and hopes the students love it just as much as he does.
Seth Gonzalez, a freshman, has already taken advantage of the newly released system. Gonzalez has accumulated 12 points from his teachers and he recently purchased a portable charger from the swag store. Gonzalez talks about his opinion on the system, ”I think it’s a pretty good system. It rewards kids for being good and allows you to buy stuff that might be too expensive to buy.” When asked about how the system has impacted his behavior, the freshman says, “The system encourages me to be a better student because I feel like by doing more good in your life, you will start to get rewarded way more.” Gonzalez says he plans on buying earphones in the future, he has no negative feedback on the system and really appreciates it.
Another student who has put the rewards system to use is Keily Melendrez. She is a freshman who has collected 21 PACK points and has bought a mister fan for 20 points. Melendrez has both positive and negative thoughts about the system, “My favorite part about the system is the rewards you can buy.” Although, she expresses that she dislikes, “How much you have to save up for them.” Melendrez’s tips for earning more points are to, “Be good in school and be kind to others.”
Overall, the updated PACKknowledgement rewards system has been well received and appreciated. Earn your points by showing PACK pride and following the school’s principals. The swag store is available for orders at any time of the day and items will be delivered sometime within a week of your order. So remember to practice respect, act responsibly, consider others, keep our campus safe, and check your points through MTSS!
